How the Best Telecom Consultants Work With Your Organization
When working with a Telecom Consulting Firm, it’s important to…..
- Check the firm’s relationships with carriers & vendors.
- They should clearly state their independence from all vendors
- They should not be paid by any vendor or represent their services
- In other words, they are objective and unbiased.
- Members of the STC (Society of Telecommunications Consultants) have already been screened and are asked to sign a code of ethics each year that they are independent and not paid by any vendor.
- Independence insures that the consultant is acting in YOUR best interests
- Agree on the objectives of the project
- Clearly define the scope of the project
- Agree on the deliverables of the project
- Provide all requested documentation before proceeding (technical diagrams, contracts, invoices)
- Hold a project launch meeting- to review expectations, roles, and answer questions
- Allow for interviews of key executives and management personnel
- Allow the consultant access to key telecom vendors. You may ask to be included in these meetings.
- Hold progress meetings at least monthly
Delta Consulting is a member of the STC: The largest organization of independent, objective consultants in North America. Delta Consulting will work with you to understand your needs, your goals and to help you define a scope of work. Prior to the project launch meeting, we will request key documentation and vendor contact information to expedite the process of completing the project. DCG will also request a meeting with key executives/management in your firm. Finally, DCG will hold monthly meetings/conference calls to discuss the progress of your project through to completion.
